DETAILS: What I love about cheese...well, basically, I love everything about cheese in general, but what's great about cheese is how many different things that can pair with it. Whether it's other foods like honey, fruit, jams or beverages like wine, beer, vodka.... Whoa Vodka? Well, why not?
To give you an idea of how well vodka pairs with cheese, I've set up a vodka and cheese pairing with Artisan Cheese Gallery in Studio City. If you've never heard of Artisan Cheese Gallery, read below for a little information about them.
Owned by former lawyer Melody Dosch and her parents, the Artisan Cheese Gallery offers more than 300 different varieties from wasabi goat cheese to herb-encrusted Tore de Bordeaux. At this unpretentious haven for artisanal products of all types, even their charcuterie is well-cured and top drawer. The exuberant staff possesses a passion for cheese and will stuff you with free tastings until you find what you like or have reached your capacity, whichever comes first. For a more substantial sample, stop in at lunchtime for one of their award-winning cold sandwiches or hot panini, including the popular grilled Italian vegetable with Danish pearl cheese or roast beef with housemade blue cheese spread.
For $38/$40, this event will entail the following:
* Introduction by Owner, Melody Dosch and a Vodka Company Representive
* Guided Vodka and Cheese Pairings
* Water, Sparking Water, Crackers, Bread and Condiments and direct from Melody, enough cheese to make you full for the night.
This will definitely be a fun and unique culinary experience, so I hope that you can join in the fun!
